Hello, I'm Javier Douglas, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and video producer with over ten years experience. I am passionate about working with compelling characters in the UK and overseas to create engaging stories.

My directing and camerawork has aired on BBC1, BBC2, BBC4, ITV, RTE and Online.

I am a Law graduate who re-trained in Media skills (Print Journalism and Radio Production). I started out as a freelance radio journalist/producer with the BBC before becoming a staff member for Video Nation shortly afterwards. One of my first short films 'No Front Door' about homelessness won a Webby award. During my five years with  BBC Video Nation I also worked for Panorama and News 24.

MONKEY MENACE is my debut feature documentary. It has screened around the world and has been nominated at several international film festivals.

As well as documentary projects, I help Third Sector organisations, Charities, NGO's and socially responsible businesses tell stories to inspire change.
